wow. i can not believe how easy that was. now here i am jinxing myself again, i'm sure, but yesterday's 57K haul really did not put me through the physical or emotional ringer i expected. i actually feel physically pretty good this morning, although still stuffy headed and hacking like a cigar smokin grandpa. but otherwise, pretty good. got the sales report done in about half an hour last night so that i did not have to contend with it this morning. ah. this morning i have only my mcdonaldland breakfast and the internet to contend with. with which to contend. yah. i got to be a secret guest at a great busstop party last night. there was a girl pretending to be ms cleo, walking around saying to people "tell ms cleo your birthday baby. what question do you have for ms cleo? ms cleo sees that you have troubles in your home life and your school life baby. ms cleo sees this without even looking at the cards, baby." there were young men smoking doobies using that universal hand motion (holding the joint between thumb and first finger with the rest of the hand cupped over) which I am sure appears sly to stoned people but to everyone else screams "I AM SMOKING POT RIGHT NOW!" there was a beautiful drunk woman flirting with a beautiful drunk man, telling him it was her birthday and didnt that mean somethin? and there were some boys who were banging out rocksteady beats on the trash can and freestylin. It was great. and then i went home, and i reheated some leftover chicken and stuffing and asparagus, and i chatted on the phone with MIF for a while, and then i just went to bed. just like that. woke up with a fantastic idea for a late chirstmas present for J* who already had one of the books i got her. i only have to find this thing, which is going to take a little searching, but i know it exists. and then all will be great with the world! |
