Ladies and gentlemen of the scientific commuinity: I would very much like to believe that this is a positive thing. However, it seems to me somehow to be one more step down the slippery slope of EVIL resulting in rats with ears on their back and sheeps with three eyes and glowing monkeys and tomatoes with animal parts in them. I mean, come on people, ITS RICE. It has been working pretty well on its own for thousands of years. Leave it alone. If you want to try to save people, maybe get on that cure for cancer you guys haven't figured out yet. Or maybe AIDS. Remember that one? Maybe it isn't as much fun as putting human ears on rats or making tomatoes that stay red for months, but really, in terms of improving human life, it would sort of take the cake. So, get on it. leave the rice to mother nature. Okay? |
