I'm playing a sort of tofu-related hooky from the bookstore today, and it feels great. It's not REALLY hooky, because when I called to say that I could not come in I really did believe that the 50 pounds of tofu were not going to show up until 2:15, and then I would have to wrap all the individual blocks individually for freezing, which would mean I would be at the restaurant until around 3pm, by which time it didn't make any sense for me to take a 1/2 hour bus ride to the bookstore. BUT THEN, the tofu came at 11:30am just like it always does, and I TOTALLY could have gotten it all wrapped and dealt with in time to go to the bookstore. But instead I hung out and had a sweet onion quesadilla and listened to CSNY and leisurely walked home with a case of organic gingerale on my head. And now I am going to take a sweet, sweet nap. I heart tofu hooky. Last night I had sweet and sour chicken and watched Quills, which was a really good movie. I highly recommend it. |
