Here I sit in the bookstore. I had to forge the white waters careening down Penn ave in order to get my bus this morning, so my pant legs are soaked up to the knee. I do not even want to talk about the socks which are trying to dry out draped over the recycling bin. I put the sneakers back on because, well, you gotta wear shoes when working retail--but they are squishy. Ugh. In more positive news, I did most of the dishes last night! I listened to Fatboy Slim remixes of the Chemical Brothers and liked it! I thought about waffles! I thought about a lot of other stuff too, but the waffles made me really happy. I am going to feature some kick ass waffles at brunch this week. Mark my words. I may even offer a CHOOSE YOUR OWN WAFFLE ADVENTURE where people can mix and match toppings. We'll see. But I want to generate some brunch excitement up in this piece! Today I am babysitting the bookstore, and tonight will be some major cleaning. Tomorrow will be shopping and cooking for catering. Now that my magical cure all printer/copier/fax machine/scanner/cuisinart has arrived, I really need to get the office together so it has a place. Time to kick it into HIGH GEAR. In other cheery news, yesterday's referral log was so much more entertaining than in days past. In addition to the usual lot of pirate slash and tawny kittaen, I had searches for "playing the cherrymaster", "dyke-made porn", "boy playing with dildo", and some other ones that were cracking me up last night but I can not remember and I am too lazy to look up.
