I should be cleaning the livingroom right now for my LUPEC party(50's theme with games and lots of weird packaged food based snacks!) but I am in the middle of making an Alice Cooper mix Cd for a friend I miss dearly. I wrote to him and told him that the guitar player in Alice's band reminded me of him, and now he is apparently on his own Alice kick. I feel so proud! Speaking of music, last night, I saw a really amazing combo---MadHaPPy It's a boy with blue hair and a girl with pink hair who are in love. They have a guitar and a really cool sequencer and make happy hippie dance music with really great thoughtful lyrics. It made me sad that the coffeepeople wouldn't dance, so I had to leave the dishes in the sink and get the party started. As soon as I put my reputation on the line by grooving like an idiot, about 15 other people joined me. Sometimes it works like that. Speaking of new music, I have not revealed in here that my new antenna enables me to pick up MTV2, sometimes. Sometimes it changes into a home shopping network, but that seems to happen in the middle of the day. In the early morning and at night it is MTV2. Videos all the way, baby. I was able to watch the MTV Europe awards, where I discovered a guy called panjabi mc I didn't actually get to hear his music, but the IDEA of it sounded right up my alley. I'll let you know in a week when my Amazon order comes in. Speaking of Amazon, it's secret santa time again! I didn't do it last year, but I am signed up again for this year! It's nice to get a secret present from someone you don't know. And it is fun to pick a present for someone you don't know and have them squeal with delight on their website when they receive it.
