It's a race against time. Can she do it? Can she pack in all the things she HAS to do this weekend and fit in a few she WANTS to do? Luckily, most of the haftas and wantas coincide. But there are an awful lot of them to fit into three short days along with a body wracking whooping cough that makes me want to just LIE IN BED. But no. On today's agenda: shower, finish dishes, whip together cream cheese and green chilies, roll up tortillas, go to work, ship out returns, do three days sales reports, conferr with departing accounting clerk, RUN to strip district, buy cheeses and crackers and chips and salsa and veggies and suasages and paper plates and napkins, run home and prepare prepare prepare arty little finger foods, rush down to the opening at 7pm, set up, drink a beer, enjoy art, enjoy people, network about the new wave cabaret, try to keep my guitar artist in line, enjoy music, enjoy my new DEMETER PIPE TOBACCO SCENT(oh J* you goddess you!!) enjoy friends, come home at a decent hour, crash. Tomorrow: shop for baby present, make more flyers/posters, put up same in south side, have lunch with honeygirl, go to LUPEC planning meeting, make things, go to Gooskis to see bands, drink beers, crash. Sunday: go to baby shower. Be good friend. Eat cake. Try not to cower in dread. Come home at a decent hour. Crash. Please wish me luck. I will report back when I can. |
