Maybe the Alice Cooper thing is getting a little out of hand, but in the process of paging through all 81 Alice Cooper albums available on Amazon to see what I could get used, I came across a review of the album LACE AND WHISKEY which mentioned that it contained his hit song "You and Me", which the reviewer mentioned was a song that everyone knew and no one knew was Alice. So, I gave a little listen to the sample track and OH. MY. GOD. If it isn't one of my VERY FAVORITE SONGS from childhood. Yes, even I was a child when this song came out. 1977. Upon listening to it, OF COURSE it sounds like Alice. But I never dreamed. In a million years. So Alice actually sang TWO of my all time favorite radio rock ballads. And did I mention he's an Aquarius? wink wink. You and me ain't no superstars what we are is what we are we share a bed some popcorn and t.v. yeah. And that's enough for a workin' man what I am is what I am and I tell you babe well that's enough for me. |
